What kind of vehicle?
An open 4×4 jeep. Ideal for wildlife enthusiasts and photographers. Flexible stops during sightings, access to narrower forest trails and a more personal experience than a canter.
Zone and driver allocation:
Safari zones, drivers and naturalist guides are assigned by the Forest Department through an automated computerised system. This cannot be influenced or changed by any operator. The system ensures fair distribution across all zones.

Canter safari: price, zone and timings
Price: Rs. 2,700 per seat
Canter safari runs exclusively in the Dhikala zone. 1 canter has 16 seats. This is a shared safari experience and the most budget-friendly way to access Dhikala, which is one of the most wildlife-rich zones in the entire reserve.
Timings:
| Slot | Timing |
| Morning safari | 6:00 AM to 11:30 AM |
| Evening safari | 12:00 PM to 5:30 PM |
The canter is an open-sided vehicle with a roof, seating up to 16 passengers. For larger groups wanting to experience Dhikala without splitting into multiple jeeps, the canter is the practical choice.
